| How can the ACT Government deliver current services more efficiently and productively or to better meet the needs of Canberrans? | The ACT government needs to prioritise it's investment in healthy eating environments with particular emphasis on children's eating environments (schools, sporting clubs, children's entertainment venues). Ongoing support of nutrition education in schools and healthy school canteens is crucial to support the future health of our citizens. |
| Are there particular services that you think the ACT Government can improve? | The ACT Government needs to commit to a long term population health strategy that supports healthier eating environments. |
| What can the ACT Government do to make Canberra even more liveable? | A more liveable city is a city that supports healthy food choices and reduced levels of chronic disease. The ACT Government needs to support the health of it's citizens via it's commitment to and progression of current health promotion initiatives. This will result in long term outcomes of reduced morbidity that has been associated with poor lifestyle choices contributed by our unhealthy food environment. |
