What services do you believe are most important for the ACT? Environment, health, education, transport.
How can the ACT Government deliver current services more efficiently and productively or to better meet the needs of Canberrans?1. Focus on good design that lasts the distance and that people can be proud of.
2. Be more proactive: might cost more now but will save in the long run.
3. Grow the use of volunteers for the environment; community panels to assist in planning etc
Are there particular services that you think the ACT Government can improve?Parks and gardens. Visitors comment on how poorly maintained Canberra parks are - particularly the smaller urban parks. If they are watered, it isn't obvious. Also, with greater density of population, particularly in the city, there is the need for more parkland. This is possible, despite what Rachel Stephen-Smith says, if the Government quarantines some of the land it has sold off to developers for apartments eg Braddon Oval and the ABC flats. This would provide recreation space for people into the future.
What can the ACT Government do to make Canberra even more liveable?See comments above.
