What services do you believe are most important for the ACT? CLIMATE CHANGE
transport
health
Fun!
How can the ACT Government deliver current services more efficiently and productively or to better meet the needs of Canberrans?Love the tram.. need more!

Have parliamentarians of the ACT more visible.. the voting system here is confusing to understand who your Territory MP is for your local area... especially as we also deal with Federal MP's. Perhaps they could attend an Access Centre regularly ie once a month to meet your MP. like JP's in the shopping centres.

When constructing public buildings ie Gungahlin Health Centre .. please ensure that there are ramps to safely cross the road on BOTH sides of the road to access other facilities ie Shops.. Crossing the road at this facility is extremely dangerous for wheelchair users and for Prams. This is a BASIC town planning issue for access .. don't just think of the building but THINK how is the community going to interact with the surrounding area!
Are there particular services that you think the ACT Government can improve?Improve access to ACT health services for NDIA clients. We need to see services as needed..ie Continence nurse! NOT wait for our NDIA Plan on an annual basis and claim for funding... this is dangerous.

Please review the parking contracts for private parking companies for disabled parking when they have government offices nearby. I am unable to use the only 'designated Blue disabled parking zone' outside the ACT Dept of Housing in Belconnen without paying! ( even though i resent paying for a designated blue disabled parking zone) - I was unable to pay for the parking as I could not access the machine! This particular company does not give you extra time to store my wheelchair in my vehicle even though i hold a Disability Parking Permit. (they have formally refused) THE ONLY SOLUTION is that The ACT government should insist that ALL parking contracts with private parking companies have... Free parking in Blue Designated Parking zones, or at a minimum... give disabled permit card holders extra time to park for free as per the Disability Parking Permit rules. (A card can be provided .. I have checked) and they MUST have Accessible payment points close to the disabled parking area. (a ramp is not enough.. room to turn and reach to pay is also needed)
What can the ACT Government do to make Canberra even more liveable?Stress for Canberrans is at an all time high.. perhaps stress reducing activities for 20 mins should be available FREE (and visible for all to join in ) in the parks at lunchtime ie TaiChi, meditation etc.

I have noticed that Isolation is a problem for people 'WITHOUT children'.. ie Defence members, International Students, single Elderly Parent when moving to Canberra... do more activities to increase community interaction. I would do this in the shopping centres. ie meet a new culture in your area.. ie learn about other cultures ie Indian, Syrian etc. ie the Arts. NOT Food!

Provide Doggie Rubbish bins in parks and streets. (See Auckland NZ doggie bins) they are shaped like a dog. I would have a flap at the back though.... these are fun and have an obvious function.

Provide more water refill stations in the streets please.
