What services do you believe are most important for the ACT?

Environment should be our number one priority right now, health and transportation are a close second. By environmental services i mean making solar panels and other renewable energies more affordable, taxing companies who pollute the planet or use excess resources.

I am a full time wildlife care volunteer and I am appalled at how little the ACT government and every other state in Australia cares about animals that are found no where else on the planet. We need to give more money to rangers, RSPCA (wildlife unit) and wildlife care organizations like ACT Wildlife.

How can the ACT Government deliver current services more efficiently and productively or to better meet the needs of Canberrans?

Affordable solar panels are the biggest necessity in my life at the moment. Again, really focus on renewable and clean energy, making electric cars more accessible. I was very impressed to see electric car recharge docks at the McDonalds in Majura Park.

Local business should be more recognized, and stores should not be forced to pay such high rent. Its crazy that so many stores have to close only after a year, and all of the keepers i've talked to say its because of the high rent.

Are there particular services that you think the ACT Government can improve?Environment just doesn't make nearly as much money as it should, I'm focusing particularly on ACT Wildlife, a charity that is dealing with all wildlife cases in the state. The government is more focused on destroying land to make way for our over population issue. We are told there are protective measurements in place to help our wild animals, but I hear from concerned members of the public of wombats being buried alive by construction workers, and families of birds not being rescued while their trees are being knocked down. I now have a complete mistrust for the government's environmental awareness as does every MOP who calls me to complain. It is illegal to kill a native Australian animal in the ACT. I have no idea how ACT Wildlife is not run by the government, we cannot expect volunteers to work full time.
What can the ACT Government do to make Canberra even more liveable?Keep focusing on creating wetlands, I am really happy and impressed with the Holder and Isabella Plains wetlands. more support for water watch groups and wild care groups. More car parking spaces in increasing areas like the city, although I kind of like there being a limited amount because people are more likely to take a bus instead. But realistically people are going to want to take their cars. Even multistory pay parking lots would be suitable.
